Listed with the National Register of Historic Places, the Olympia Theater atGusman Center was originally built as a Vaudeville theater in 1926, by Paramount Pictures. Designed by architect, John Eberson, the theater boasts turrets, towers, carvings, and columns. Stars light the ceiling and passing clouds provide a glorious courtyard atmosphere. The theater hosts orchestras, concerts, plays, and is now the performing home of the Maximum Dance Ballet Company.

Miami Symphony Orchestra

Monkey Jungle

University of Miami Orange Bowl

The site of three national championships for the University of Miami footballteam, the Orange Bowl hosted the traditional New Year's Day football game up until 1996. The Hurricanes hold the NCAA record for the longest consecutive home win streak of 58 games set from 1985-1994 in the Orange Bowl.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Originally the winter home of the International Harvester vice-president, John Deering, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a Renaissance-style villa with European fine and decorative art. In addition to the house, now museum, Vizcaya has become very well known for its beautiful gardens. This fan shaped garden features Italian-clipped topiary, water displays, and French curving low-cut hedges. Vizcaya is open every day except Christmas.
